Jan, 14, 2010: Balooba donates all registration fees to Haiti's earth quake victim relief. Effective immeddiately, every single cent that come in to us, including registration fees, will be donated daily to support the relief efforts in Haiti. Currently, it seems like the Red Cross are able to reach the area with finding survivors, providing clean water, blankets, medicines etc. This page will be updated. May, 25, 2008: Safari Prairiefire 1.3.2 released. Due to multiple requests, Safari Prairiefire has now been equipped with support for printing the bookmarks lists. The lists can be sorted prior to printing for easy-to-read grouping of bookmarks with for example the same server error codes. Of course, the lists can also be sorted alphabetically based on the bookmark's names or the target URLs. The update is free and recommended for all users. Read more...

Nov, 2007: Mirror Widget broken in Leopard. Mirror uses Quartz Composer technology in order to stream the iSight signal to Mirror's window. Unfortunately, this ability is broken in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard as well as in 10.5.1. We are following the development while at the same time trying to identify a work-around. Please check back regularly, any updated version will be posted here, hopefylly soon.

Nov, 12, 2006: Babylooba website temporarily down. Many have noticed that the Babylooba website is down. This happened because Earthlink inadvertedly erased the web space used for the pages. Feb, 11, 2006: Mirror is now compatible with the current Mac OS X. We are happy that Mirror is now working again. Apple has fixed the issue in Dashboard that prevented Mirror from displaying correctly. You will need to update QuickTime to version 7.0.4 and also Mac OS X to version 10.4.4 Both are available as from downloads, easiest through Software Update in your Apple Menu. Read more...

Nov, 17, 2005: Bubblegym 0.6.0 released. Apple's system update to Mac OS X 10.4.3 is not compatible with the older version 0.4 of Bubblegym. The new version is recommended to all users. It is now based on the tilt-sensor technology Motion (Copyright 2005 Christian Klein). Nov, 10, 2005: Mirror is not compatible with the current Mac OS X. Apple has recently updated QuickTime to version 7.0.3. Unfortunately, it appears to be a bug in it that prevents Mirror from displaying correctly. Apple has been notified and we are waiting for a response. In the meantime, users can downgrade to the previous version using the QuickTime 7.0.1 Reinstaller available from Apple. Link to Apple's download site

Oct, 15, 2005: Donation program extended to other disaster victims too. The earthquake in Pakistan has caused the death of at least 38,000 persons. March, 6, 2005: Bubblegym - a tilt-controlled computer game for Powerbooks. I am not sure, but I think this might be the first game that is controlled by moving the whole Powerbook. Amit Singh at Kernelthread, showed a way to read the values from the chip that handles the SMS (Sudden Motion Sensor). This potentially allows for a myriad of cool applications, such as this game, created for the fun of it :) The game is donation/shareware (donate something and get the registration code), donations will be used towards a powerbook so I can try this out too. Feb, 21, 2005: New version of Safari Prairiefire.The new version has number 0.9.9.4 (build 24) and improves the performance by allowing several bookmarks to be checked simultaneously. This makes the scanning several times faster than before. In addition, Safari Prairiefire has got an updated search funtion, provides more comprehensivefeedback on error/status codes, and sports a new, beautiful. and clear interface.

Feb 1, 2005: The Worldwide Red Cross has in an email message announced that the $1.2 billion sufficient to meet the costs of the entire Red Cross tsunami relief program projected at this time.  Balooba would like to thank all the buyers who registered a copy of Safari Prairiefire or Babylooba and thereby contributed to the Tsunami victims. Several hundreds of dollars were thereby sent to the Red Cross.

*Dec.29, 2004: Red Cross donations Programme Effective immediately: all payments, licensing fees, donations, sales, etc are donated to the Red Cross. Balooba Software's PayPal account will be monitored daily. All proceedings will be promptly paid into the Red Cross International Response Fund through their online donation system. If you wish your money to go to another organization please specify on the PayPal purchase form. This program will continue until further notice. I (the developer Peter Berglund) personally know of several persons that are currently listed as missing in the area. However, this donation program will continue regardless of whether these people are found or not. Our hearts go to all those, tourists and citizens of the afflicted nations, who have lost health, homes, friends or family members.
